Australia record their 13th win in the last 14 Tests against the Windies as 5 wickets from S Clark inspire them to a 95-run victory in the first match.

At the close West Indies, set 287 to win, were 46 for one after Brenton Parchment was caught behind by Brad Haddin off the bowling of Stuart Clark for 15.

Australia, thanks largely to Symonds, remain in the hunt for victory before bad light put the brakes on them as WI chase 287 runs to win the opening Test.

ANDREW Symonds continues to grow as a Test player, with his maturity and his approach compared to three years ago like chalk and cheese, writes Australia captain Ricky Ponting.

CAPTAIN Ricky Pointing is confident Phil Jaques and Simon Katich will make a statement when the second Test against West Indies gets underway in Antigua on Saturday (EST).
